Juan Carlos Matute Gonzalez, 43, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick, NJ. Juan was born in Azogues, Ecuador to parents Jaime Matute and Martha Florencia Gonzalez. He owned and operated DiCarlo Pizza in Southampton, PA. He loved cars, watching soccer, especially his favorite team from Ecuador, C.S. Emelec. He was the life of the party and was talented at organizing parties and events. Juan was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Juan is preceded in death by his mother Martha Florencia Gonzalez. Juan is survived by his father, Jaime Matute; his wife Transito "Isabel" Suquitana; his two beloved children, Carlos and Isabella Matute; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Florencio Suquitana and Maria Gonzalez; his seven siblings, Ivan, Jaime, Roberto, Carmen, Sergio, Hilda, and Pedro Matute; his seven sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lucia, Norma, Mercedes, Diana, Juan, Luis, and Patricia Suquitana; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-Immaculate Conception Church, 540 Chestnut Ave., Trenton, NJ.
