Juan Carlos Montanez Jr., a vibrant soul whose heart embraced life deeply, departed from this world on November 24, 2024. Born on June 9, 2006, in Monterrey Park, California, Juan radiated joy and enthusiasm in everything he did. His love for baseball shined brightly, as he was a dedicated and hardcore fan of the LA Dodgers, cheering passionately for his team and celebrating the thrill of the game.

Juan had an adventurous palate, delighting in the flavors of Wing Stop and savory fajitas squeezed with fresh lemon. These simple pleasures brought him immense happiness, much like the times he spent surrounded by friends, laughter, and love. A faithful servant to his Lord, Juan's spirit was a light that inspired those around him, reminding everyone of the importance of friendship, family, and faith.

He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. His parents, Juan Carlos Montanez Sr. and Maria Mercedes Colon were blessed to call him their son. His brother, Ruben Cisneros Jr., and his sisters—Celina Cisneros and her husband Johnny Rodriguez, Clarissa Cisneros and her husband Joseable Benavides, Kimberly Cisneros and her husband Jesus Medellin, and Kaitlyn Colon—will carry forward his legacy in their hearts. Juan was a beloved Godfather to King Medellin and Jesus Medellin, and he shared a special bond with his many nieces and nephews: Jaylon Romo, JJ Rodriguez, Jiovanni Rodriguez, Jaelene Rodriguez, and Jennavie Rodriguez. Additionally, he was cherished by his uncles, Jose Luis Montanez and his wife Diana, and Domingo Montanez and his wife Chayo, and his cousins, including Marcos Montanez and his wife Jessica, Ricky Montanez, Jose Montanez and his wife Nikita, Mariaelena Montanez, and Evelyn Montanez.

Juan's circle of friends was vast and filled with warmth. He was surrounded by numerous companions who supported and uplifted him throughout his life: Emilio Vasquez, Juan Rios, Rudy Montelongo, Isaac Molina, Fabian Luna, Fabrizio Luna, Victor Marchan, Jesus Martinez, Jeremiah Alonso, Geovani Alonso, Larry Zermeno, and Angel Muniz, Brayan Bucio, Christopher de la Cruz, Adrian Aparicio, Edward Castillo, Adrian Ruiz, Nathan Jass, and many more treasured friends. These friendships enriched his life, and he will be dearly missed by each one of them.

Juan is preceded in death by his childhood best friend, Xavier Alexander Cornejo; paternal grandmother, Maria DeJesus Montanez; his maternal grandmother, Maria Teresa Vasquez; and his maternal grandfather, Roberto Colon. Their spirits welcome him in love, having left an indelible mark on his heart.

As we remember Juan Carlos Montanez Jr., we celebrate a life full of laughter, devotion, and kindness. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the honor of knowing him, reminding us all to seek joy in the little things, stand firm in faith, and cherish our loved ones.
