Juan Villagran Sr.

Our beloved Juan Villagrán passed away at 68 years old. He was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to the late Faustino and Balbina Villagrán, and lived a life full of love, laughter, hard work, and heart.
Everyone knew him as Don Juanito or Don Johnny, but to us, he was so much more-our husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend. He met Maricela while delivering milk, and from there began a 47-year love story. Together they built a home, raised a family, and stayed side by side through it all.
He leaves behind Maricela, his children Heredic and wife Alicia, Janette and husbandAntonio, and Juan and wife Reina. His grandchildren-Faustino, Gemma, Celeste, Angel, Daniel, Jesus, Juan, Alyssa, and Emiliano-were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind his siblings: Maria Francia, Joel Villagran, Francisco Villagran, Cruz Torres, Leticia Torres, Teresa Cano, Alberto Villagran, and Olga Villagran. Numerous nephews and nieces. Tons of friends.
If you knew Juan, you knew how generous and down-to-earth he was. He could make anyone laugh. He never acted like he was better than anyone, and he treated everyone like family. He loved cooking menudo and barbacoa, raising his animals, and spending time at the ranch. That ranch became a second home to his grandkids, full of stories, laughs, and memories they'll carry forever.
He didn't care about fancy things. He cared about people. About family. About doing things right, and with heart.
We already miss him more than words can say. But we're thankful for every moment, every lesson, every laugh. He gave us everything, and we'll carry his spirit with us always.
Services
We'll gather to remember and honor him on Monday, July 21, with a viewing from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be held from 6:00 to 6:30 PM.
There will also be a viewing at the family home (2401 W 5th Ave) from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 22, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Nuestro querido Juan Villagrán falleció a los 68 años. Nació en San Luis Potosí, México, hijo de Faustino y Balbina Villagrán (q.e.p.d.), y vivió una vida llena de amor, alegría, trabajo duro y corazón.
Todos lo conocían como Don Juanito o Don Johnny, pero para nosotros era mucho más-nuestro esposo, papá, abuelo, hermano y amigo. Conoció a Maricela mientras repartía leche, y desde ahí comenzó una historia de amor de 47 años. Juntos construyeron un hogar, formaron una familia y se mantuvieron unidos en todo momento.
Le sobreviven Maricela, sus hijos Heredic y Alicia, Janette y Antonio, y Juan y Reina. Sus nietos-Faustino, Gemma, Celeste, Ángel, Daniel, Jesús, Juan, Alyssa y Emiliano-eran su orgullo y alegría. También deja a sus hermanos: María Francia, Joel Villagrán, Francisco Villagrán, Cruz Torres, Leticia Torres, Teresa Cano, Alberto Villagrán y Olga Villagrán. Muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.
Si conociste a Juan, sabes lo generoso y sencillo que era. Siempre con una sonrisa, haciendo reír a todos. Nunca se creyó más que nadie, y trataba a todos como familia. Le encantaba cocinar menudo y barbacoa, cuidar a sus animales y pasar tiempo en el rancho. Ese rancho se volvió un segundo hogar para sus nietos-lleno de historias, risas y recuerdos que llevarán por siempre.
No le importaban las cosas materiales. Le importaba la gente. La familia. Hacer las cosas bien y con el corazón.
Ya lo extrañamos más de lo que las palabras pueden decir. Pero estamos agradecidos por cada momento, cada lección, cada risa. Nos dio todo, y llevaremos su espíritu con nosotros siempre.
Servicios
Nos reuniremos para recordarlo y honrar su vida el lunes 21 de julio, con una velación de 9:00 AM a 8:00 PM en Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. El Santo Rosario se rezará de 6:00 a 6:30 PM.
También habrá una velación en la casa familiar (2401 W 5th Ave) de 9:00 PM a 7:00 AM.
La Misa de Cuerpo Presente se celebrará el martes 22 de julio a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica Immaculate Conception, seguida del sepelio en el Cementerio Católico Calvary.
