Juan Rojas Zamarron, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Kyle, Texas. Born on June 24, 1950, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Juan was a man of strength, kindness, and unwavering generosity, who touched the lives of many with his wisdom and caring nature.

Juan is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Justina Hernandez, whom he married in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, on June 18, 1972. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion, raising a beautiful family including their children: Juan H. Rojas (Carmen Rios), Ruben Rojas (Claudia Luna), Veronica, Christina, and Angelica Rojas. He was a proud grandfather to Jorge, Juan Jr., Alex, Omar, Fernando, Joanna, Ruben Adrian, Aracely, Ashley, Lily Ann, Vanessa, Cynthia, Rocky, Aaron, Ryan, Armando, Karina, and Krystal. Juan's legacy will also be carried on by his siblings Merejilda, Lupe, Goya, and Domingo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Rojas and Vicenta Zamarron Rojas, his sister Maria Seferina, and brother Isidro.

Juan's life story is one of remarkable perseverance and dedication. Although he did not have the opportunity for formal education, his life experiences shaped him into a wise and resourceful individual. For over 20 years, he served as a custodian at the University of Texas at Austin with great pride and diligence. Upon retiring from UT Austin, his love for work and serving the community led him to join Hays ISD, where he continued to contribute for an additional 15 years.

A devout Catholic, Juan lived his faith through his actions, always extending a helping hand and a kind word to those around him. His passion for life was evident in his love for raising small animals. Chickens, goats, and ponies were not just animals to Juan; they were part of his family. He often refused to sell them unless he knew they would be cherished as pets, demonstrating his deep respect for all living creatures.

Juan's interests were simple yet profound. He was a man who found joy in the everyday pleasures of life. He loved to read the newspaper, a habit that was part of his daily routine. Traveling to Laredo to sit at the plaza, watching people, and soaking in the fresh air was one of his favorite pastimes. His love for yard work was another testament to his appreciation for the outdoors and the satisfaction of a hard day's work.

Those who knew Juan will remember him as a kind soul who seldom wore a smile but whose heart was always full of love. His generosity knew no bounds, and his wise counsel was sought by many. Juan Rojas Zamarron will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, wisdom, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
