Born in Central Adela, Cuba on April 26, 1930. The second child of 5 born to Caridad Rodriguez Hernandez and Evaristo Bra Fernandez. She met her husband, Marcos Antonio Lara when they were studying at the University of Havana, where she graduated as a Doctor in Pharmacy. They married on February 18, 1961 until her passing on April 1, 2025, for 64 years. She is survived by their 3 daughters, Maria, Vivian and Marta; her 8 grandchildren, Anjelica, Julia, Marcos, Anna, Nicholas, Miranda, Amanda, Patrick and 6 great-grandchildren: William, Piper, August, Theo, Elliot and Parker. She never practiced pharmacy, but became a professor in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Santa Clara until she and her husband made the difficult decision to leave Cuba with their 3 daughters in 1970. She was the rock of the family and was dearly loved by all. Though her main language was Spanish, she loved to read the Sun Newspaper cover to cover. Though she loved to cook and care for her plants, her hobby was her family. A mass in her honor will be held AT 1:00 PM on April 11, 2025 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
