Juanita Joyce Alms. 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 2, 2024.She was born April 10, 1941 in Houston, TX to parents Leonard and Ella Kieschnick. Juanita will be forever remembered as a caring and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Left behind to share her memories are her loving husband of 63 years, LeRoy G. Alms; their children, Vickie Hatcher and her husband Richard and Andrew Alms and his wife, Lori; grandchildren, Jessica Adamo and her husband Sam; Kyle Hatcher and his wife, Abigail; Matthew Hatcher and his wife, Logann; Karlie Thompson and her husband Cullen and Garrett Alms and his wife Denise; 11 great grandchildren- Gwendolyn, Lincoln, Eliza, Milo, Trace, Hampton, Hyland, Hailey, Caroline, Wells and Pierce; her sister, Alice Kasper and her husband, Kenneth; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Juanita was known for her friendly nature and sense of humor and placed family as her priority. She loved her church, Trinity Lutheran Downtown, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle, sang in the choir, among other activities. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, gardening, shopping, and holidays.
Juanita Joyce Kieschnick Alms loved being with people and will be warmly remembered and greatly missed.
A special thank you to the caregivers at Spring Cypress Senior Living and Memory Care for the outstanding and loving care that they gave to our Mom.
A visitation is planned for 10:00 am Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Trinity Lutheran Church located downtown Houston at 800 Houston Avenue. The service will begin at 11:00 am and the interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055.
The family request donations be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Downtown Stained Glass Renewal Project in lieu of flowers.
