Juanita Perrodin Anthony, 74, of St. Martinville, Louisiana, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on August 26, 2025.

Born on June 15, 1951, in St. Martinville, Juanita lived a life that was truly full of love, full of laughter, full of giving, and full of faith. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. But above all, she was a woman who loved God with her whole heart.

She had a heart that gave endlessly. She was always doing for others whether it was sharing a meal, lending a helping hand, or simply listening when someone needed to talk. Her presence brought comfort, and her love brought peace.

Juanita loved the color purple it reflected her royal spirit and the grace she carried wherever she went. She carried herself with quiet strength, and her smile could light up a room.

Most of all, Juanita was a praying woman. She talked to God often not just for herself, but for everyone she loved. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and trusted God through every season of her life. Her faith was the foundation of everything she did, and it showed in the way she treated people with patience, compassion, and unconditional love.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her children: Willa Mae Anthony of St. Martinville; Kim Anthony and husband Chris of Ft. Myers; Larson Anthony and wife Alicia of Oklahoma; Isaiah Anthony; and Brayonni Anthony. She is also survived by her sisters Lucy Simien (Willard) and Mary Perrodin; brothers Albert Perrodin (Janice), Wilford Perrodin (Debby), and Phillip Perrodin (Kiesha); along with 35 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilton Anthony Sr.; her daughter, Sharon K. Anthony; her son, Wilton “Butch” Anthony Jr.; her parents, Fred and Melba Nadie Perrodin; her brother, Curtis Perrodin; and her sisters, Dorothy Perrodin, Rita Perrodin, and Judy George.

Juanita’s life was a living testimony of love, service, and faith. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her spirit will continue to live on in every life she touched, every meal she shared, and every prayer she prayed. She has fought a good fight, she has finished her course, and she has kept the faith.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace rejoicing in Heaven, wrapped in God’s love, and wearing her favorite color of purple, the color of royalty, as she rests in glory.
