Nita Ferguson passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her home in Brandon, MS. She was 82 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 9:00-10:45 am at Ott & Lee in Brandon, MS, with a service beginning at 11:00. Interment will follow the service at Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Juanita was born on May 29, 1942, to Jesse and Mabel Copeland in Neshoba County, Mississippi. She was raised in the Sandtown Community. She was an active member of FBC Brandon. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining with friends and family.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Cannon, George Mitchell Copeland and Jeanette Wilkins; and recently the love of her life, her precious husband, Doyle Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Ande) Walters of Richland, MS; grandson, Drew (Amanda) of Mount Holly, NC; granddaughter, Hannah (Paul) Muffuletto of Brandon, MS; and great grandsons, Isaiah, James and Elijah.
Pallbearers will be Doc Williams, Bobby Hudson, Doug Palmer, Richard Stamper, Dan Ellison, and Woody Sherman.
Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Brandon Building Fund.
