Juanita Luera, 77, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM, March 4, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday March 4, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor John Carranco of Impact City Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Juanita was born in Alpine, Texas to Calistro and Manuela (Luna) Carrillo on June 24, 1947. She then attended Alpine High School. She married Joe Luera on October 30, 1987, in Odessa, Texas. She worked in Medical Billing for 16 years. She also helped with AWANA at her church.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Calistro and Manuela Carrillo; one brother and one sister.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Joe Luera; daughters, Sandra Adcox and Stephanie Elliot; son, Ronnie Bustamante; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Memorials may be given to American Parkinsons Disease Association.
The family of Juanita wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Kadir, staff of MCH ICU, Madison Medical Resort, Interim Healthcare and Hospice and her caregiver Gene Bustamante.
