Juanita Florence Lunsford Huff

Juanita Florence Lunsford Huff, 92, of Roxboro, died on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Gold Lunsford and Ruby Pearl Poole Lunsford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Vernon Huff.
Mrs. Huff was of the Methodist faith, having been a member of her home church, Trinity Methodist Church and later a member of Warren's Grove Methodist Church. She was a loving childcare provider for almost 40 years; she always commented that she "raised half of Person County." Her daycare children called her "Huff" until her grandchildren came along, calling her "Nana."
Nana enjoyed shopping, going out to dinner, getting her nails done and riding around. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and going on their annual White Lake vacation.
Surviving are her two children: Renee Huff Whitfield (Charles) and Barry Huff (Jennifer); special aunt: Lorena Burnette; five grandchildren: Joseph Huff, Megan Whitfield Davis (Marc), Michaela Huff (Tyler), Morgan Whitfield Jones (Daniel) and Matthew Huff (Bailey); two honorary grandchildren: Karmen Grant and Kimberly Harris; eight great-grandchildren; special friends: Annette Barber, Kay Huff, Pearl Crabtree, Mary Moody, Randy and Nicky Horner; a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Warren's Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. Ann Benson officiating. Burial will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Person Memorial Hospital ER Staff, Amedisys Home Health, her caregivers: Denise Bullard and Melissa Oxendine; and the Warren's Grove Community for the love and care given to Mrs. Huff and her family.
