A funeral service for Juanita B. Morgan will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Anderson-Burris Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Juanita was born on a farm northeast of Lahoma, Oklahoma, On June 1, 1923, to Amandus A. and Della (Worth) Brakhage. She attended Starlight School north of Lahoma for two years. After the death of her parents in 1931 and 1932, she and her sister Wilma moved to Garber and were raised by their maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Worth.

She graduated from Garber High School in 1942. That same year she and Eldon A. Morgan were married in the Garber Christian Church Parsonage by Rev. Harold Enz. They lived in Hayes, Kansas, and Garber before moving to Enid in 1952 where Eldon worked for Champlin Oil Co. for 35 years. Juanita was a member of Central Christian Church, Sooner Sunday School Class, and Fellowship Guild.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Barbara Poynter, Oklahoma City, OK; son Charles Morgan and wife Carol, Altus, OK; six grandchildren: Berton Johnson (Sonya), Nevada, TX; Carletta Morgan Ferguson (Bill), Seabrook, TX; Stephen Johnson, Antlers, OK; Rebecca Johnson Steward (Scott), Mustang, OK; Dustin Morgan, Oklahoma City, OK; Frank Festa, grandson-in-law, Altus, OK; and twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her infant son Larry in 1945, her husband Eldon in April 1991, her sister Wilma Pershall in May 2018, and her granddaughter Meredith Morgan Festa in June 2018.

Memorials can be made through Anderson-Burris to Central Christian Church.
