Juanita Aldridge Stanfield

Juanita Aldridge Stanfield, 82, of Prospect Hill, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late William Maynard Aldridge and Mary Alice Oakley Aldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Earl "Bobby" Stanfield; granddaughter Sarah Hart Stanfield; one brother: William Junior Aldridge; and one sister, Christine Aldridge Beaver.
Mrs. Stanfield was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She worked for Kayser-Roth prior to starting a family and becoming a homemaker and later worked on the family's tobacco farm with her husband. While her children were in school, she worked as a bus driver and substitute teacher for Caswell County Schools. Mrs. Stanfield later worked for Wal-Mart when it opened in 1989 in Hillsborough until her retirement.
Mrs. Stanfield was involved in her children's schools over the years, serving in numerous roles with the PTA. In addition, she collected donations for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Prospect Hill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and worked tirelessly for the annual Brunswick Stew Sale.
Surviving are a sister: Clara Aldridge Porterfield, and her five children: Sherry Stanfield-Oakley (Henry), Mark Stanfield (Sharon), Todd Stanfield (JoAnn), Kandice Stanfield-Ceparano, and Dustin Stanfield, all of Prospect Hill. In addition, she is survived by nine grandchildren: Andrew Oakley (Cheyanne), Rebecca Oakley, Haley Hayden (Dustin), Darren Stanfield (Baylee), Christina Stanfield, Ethan Stanfield, Michael Ceparano, Jace Ceparano, and Kahlyn Ceparano; two great-grandchildren: Lucas Hayden and Nora Hayden.
The family would like to thank the following for the care extended to Mrs. Stanfield for the past 6 years: Ms. Pauline Blanks and her team of caregivers over the years, with special thanks to Ms. Tammy "Cat" Jacobs and Ms. Gwen Byrd; and the staff of AuthoraCare, with a special thanks to Nurse Lynnette, Chaplain Leah, and nursing aides Erica and Amber for their excellent care over the past few months.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 18 at 11 am at Cooper Cemetery, with Rev. Bobby Tate officiating.
Pallbearers will be Richard Beaver, Daryl Carver, Wayland Edwards, William Beasley, Andrew Oakley, Darren Stanfield, Ethan Stanfield, and Jace Ceparano.
