JuaNita Pauline Wilson September 24, 1954 – December 17, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of
JuaNita Pauline Wilson, who left this world peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2025. JuaNita was a woman of immense kindness, infectious humor, and a heart so big it touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born on September 24, 1954, to Pauline Bingham Barton and Chesley Barton, JuaNita lived a life rooted in love, dedication, and service to others. Shortly after graduating high school, she married the love of her life, John Wilson. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to devotion and partnership. John was truly her soulmate, and their many years together were filled with laughter, loyalty, and deep affection. She has now been reunited with him, along with her beloved brother, Kenneth Barton (Carolyn) of Batavia, Ohio, who preceded her in death.
JuaNita dedicated 35 years of her life working in Food & Nutritional Services at Booth/St. Luke Hospital. She took great pride in caring for the patients there, always making sure they were well-fed and well-loved. She never met a stranger, and through her years at the hospital, she built lifelong friendships that spoke volumes about her warmth and genuine nature.
She was known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and the way she could light up a room without even trying. JuaNita had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen and cared for. Her kindness was effortless, and her compassion knew no bounds.
JuaNita had a deep love for music-especially the soothing voice of Anne Murray and, of course, the legendary Reba McEntire. She found joy in scrap booking, preserving memories with care and creativity, and she dearly loved talking to her pets, who were cherished members of her family.
She is survived by her loving siblings: her brother Donald Barton of Mason, Ohio; her brother Gary Barton of Florence, Kentucky; and her sister Dolores Stewart (Jack) of Edgewood. She was a treasured sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, and her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express.
Above all else, JuaNita was deeply loved. She gave love freely, laughed often, and lived with a gentle grace that will continue to echo through the lives she touched. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we shared with her and the memories that will live on.
She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always-with love.
Services and Memorials Services will be held at Don Catchen Funeral Home in
