Juanita Wolsey Barnes Obituary
August 18, 1932 ~ November 14, 2021
On Thursday, November 4, 2021 our dear mother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. There are no words to express how much she will be missed. Mom always gave selflessly to her family. She was truly our "rock".
She was born August 18, 1932 to Wendell Rees Wolsey and Viola Lowry.
Juanita married Donald Lynn Horsley in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had five children. They later divorced. She married Lemont R. Barnes in the Salt Lake Temple, they were married 52 years before his passing in 2019.
Mom worked many years and retired from HAFB. She loved to garden and took pride in her home and yard. She also loved cooking and baking for her family, but mostly she loved her family for which we have all been so blessed.
Juanita is survived by her children, Melanie Campbell, Stephen Horsley (Tristan), Laurie Horsley, Lisa Sweeten (Russ), Dallin Bennett (Brandy), Tyler Allen and David Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, on daughter, Kathy Larsen, her parents, a brother, Dee Wolsey and sister, Arvella Cox.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist's Roy Mortuary.
