Judith A. “Judi” Zander, 78, of West Bend, passed away on January 8, 2026, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Judi was born on June 1, 1947, in Lackawanna, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (nee Weston) Atkins. On May 9, 1970, she was united in marriage to John Zander at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Somerville, MA. Judi carried a boundless love for the Lord, a devotion that shaped the way she moved through the world. Her heart stretched wide for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, each one a treasure she held close. In younger years, travel and adventure called to her, and she answered with joy, whether exploring new places or savoring life’s simple pleasures, especially anything made of chocolate.
Generosity was woven into her spirit; she poured kindness into everyone around her while rarely asking anything for herself. She thrived in the company of others, lighting up rooms with conversation, laughter, and the ease with which she turned strangers into friends. She enjoyed time with friends and loved ones playing table games or talking about life’s events.
Those Judi leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, John; three children, Karl (Michelle) Zander, Keith Zander, and Kristine (Tim) Lamonska; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents.
