Judith A. Badger, age 68, a resident of Lisle, IL, went to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2024. She was born April 11, 1956 in Elmhurst, IL to Robert & Olive Badger.
Judy was raised in Lombard, IL where she attended Pleasant Lane Elementary, Lombard Junior High, and graduated from Glenbard East High School. She then studied Early Childhood Education at College of DuPage, providing a foundation for her lifelong passion of caring for and educating the children of her community. Throughout her life, Judy developed and grew her faith in Jesus Christ at the Lombard Gospel Chapel, and shared that faith with the younger generations as a Sunday School teacher.
Judy began her efforts of caring for children when she worked at Helen Plum Library from 1975-1977. This served as a stepping stone for her primary career at Greentree Preschool spanning 1977-2005. Here she began working as a teacher spending countless hours pouring her energy and devotion into what would eventually become multiple generations of students. Her efforts led to her subsequently being named Assistant Director, and eventually Director of Greentree Preschool. After that, she returned to the classroom to serve as a preschool teacher and Parish/Religious Education secretary for the Bible Kids Preschool at St. Daniel the Prophet Church from 2006 until the time of her passing.
When Judy wasn't busy pouring into the lives of her students, she engaged herself in the hobbies of baking cakes, collecting rare Teddy Bears, loving her cats, all things Disney (especially Disney World), and photography / videography. She specifically enjoyed technology surrounding photos and videos and using her talents to document family gatherings. Though she was often too soft-spoken to be heard over the chaos of her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, they all knew Judy to be the driving force behind one of their favorite annual traditions of "Hotel Christmas" and will have memories to cherish for a lifetime because of her photos and videos.
She is survived by her brother, Bruce (Lois) Badger; her nieces & nephews Olivia (Brandon) Sloan, Allen Badger, Rebekah (Jonathan) Smith, Robert Badger, Deborah Badger, and Nicole Matrisciano-Badger; her 13 great-nieces & great-nephews; and her Aunt Mary (the late Richard) Danker, Cousins Wendy (Ron) Henzel, & Dawn (Tom) Hudlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 p.m. at Lombard Gospel Chapel, 369 N. Stewart Ave, Lombard, IL 60148, where a service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Lombard Gospel Chapel.

I will always remember Judy for her love for her Lord, her family, and all the staff, families, and children she taught. What a legacy she leaves. Though never married herself, she cared for hundreds and hundreds of children including all her nieces and nephews and special two-year olds. Alway fun and with a huge understanding of how two year olds think and behave, she was working with some teachers who didn't share her same expertise regarding classroom management. Observing what they were doing, she said, "Is it working?" With no teacher answering, she knowingly then said, "Well, stop it". I will always remember that wise answer!
