Born on September 4, 1942, Judy was the daughter of the late Beryl and Charles Matheny. Judy was a devoted faithful wife to Stanley William Billie Jr., mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.
Judy leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories through her children Susan (Stephen) Ropski of Folcroft, PA., Stanley (Elizabeth) Billie of Downingtown, PA James Billie of Benton, PA. and Joseph (Vera) Billie of Aston, PA.
Judy was a loving and devoted grandmother to 11 grandchildren Katrina (Benjamin) Shearer, Mason Billie, Sara Ann Ropski, Nicolette Billie, Mariah Billie, Christina Billie, Stephen Michael Ropski, Keegan Billie, McKenna Billie, Joseph Billie and Savannah Billie and great grandson Christopher Shearer.
She is also survived by her brother James (Sue) Matheny, sister in law Donna Matheny and 10 nieces and nephews
Judy was a devoted homemaker, Girl Scout leader, life member of the Folcroft Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary where she served as President and crossing guard for the borough of Folcroft. Once her children were grown and in High School she became a bookkeeper for the Bartash Publications and later West Catholic High School for Boys.
She spent her golden years traveling with her husband Stan to Tin Can Sailor Reunions and with her daughter Susan to fulfill her bucket list of Memories.
Her biggest joy was being a bus aid for the SE Delco Kindergartners. Judy's happy place was sitting on Rehoboth Beach watching the tide come in and out and eating fresh caught crabs from the Rehoboth Bay.
A faithful Parishioner of St George church in Glenolden, Judy enjoyed watching the children perform musicals, Living Stations and May Processions.
Funeral Mass: 11am Tuesday April 22, 2025 at St. George Church, Lamont Ave Glenolden PA.. 19036
Viewing: 10-11am at the church
Burial: will be private at Northwood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions to Penn Medicine Hospice, 150 Monument Rd STE 300, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 would be appreciated.
