Judith E. "Wisniewski" Booker

Judith (Jewels) Ellen Booker (Wisniewski) passed away peacefully in her sleep January 4, 2026. Jewels was a much-loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and confidant. She was a talented hair stylist and continued her craft until the past few weeks. A graduate of Chic Cosmetology School, Jewels was a much sought after stylist for over 60 years. She was a gifted homemaker, seamstress, decorator, and showed love to those around her with these gifts. No one ever went away from Jewels' presence hungry.

Faith was a defining center of Jewels' life. She was strong in her Christianity. Whether hosting a Bible study or helping those in need, faith guided her daily life and was central to everything she did.

Jewels is survived by her three children, Joseph Booker Jr., Michele Giffel (John), and Tyler Booker. Her grandchildren: Zachariah (Angie), Gabrielle, Waverly, Mattea, and Henry. Jewels' great-grandchildren: Eli, Carter, Crew, Arlette (Ari), and Alden (Ollie). She is predeceased by her mother and father, Anthony and Edith Wisniewski, her sister Sandra, and her brothers James (Jimmy), Anthony (Jesse), John and Frank.
On Jewels' 75th birthday, using the nickname given to her by her daughter Michele, there was a quote that read: "Jewels leaves a little sparkle everywhere she goes." Although she is no longer with us, that sparkle will remain in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at First Reformed Church, 3060 Wilson Avenue, Grandville Mi 49418. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM -2:30 PM and the service will start at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jewels' name to the Guiding Light Mission.
