Judith "Judy" Carmel (nee' Nathans), 82, passed away on May 31, 2025; beloved wife and best friend of Arnold for 60 wonderful years; loving mother of Elana (Yoav Levy) Carmel-Levy, Naomi (Daniel) Carmel-Brown and the late Shoshana Carmel; cherished "Savta" of Sean, Sarah Mae and Nathan Levy and Joshua, Ari and Shai Carmel-Brown; much loved sister of Syd (Judith White) Nathans, dear aunt and friend of many. Judy was a force to be reckoned with, lived on her own terms, had a great sense of humor, and would give anything to anyone. She could light up any room, was an amazing cook who loved to host the holidays and taught many generations how to make challah. Judy was past president of Hadassah where she led many cooking classes as well as helped run fundraising sales. She loved singing, was an avid reader of romance novels but her most treasured moments were spent with her beloved family. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
