Judith Cole

Judi Cole, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26th at the age of 83. She was born on June 25, 1942, in Casper, Wyoming, alongside her twin sister, Jeri. Judi lived a remarkable and adventurous life filled with compassion and love.

After earning her LPN from Casper College, Judi married Gary Cole in 1963, celebrating their honeymoon by climbing the Tetons. Together they raised two children-daughter Carol and son Patrick. Later, Judi returned to school to earn her RN degree from the University of Wyoming, beginning a 40-plus-year nursing career that touched countless lives.

Judi's held many passions. She loved skiing, teaching rhythmic aerobics in Cody, and later, joining the U.S. Air Force in her late 40s. She proudly served as a captain at the 2nd Surgical Hospital, 8th Air Force Division in Barksdale, LA. In 2001, she welcomed her pride and joy-her only granddaughter Emily.

Judi was creative throughout her life, enjoying quilting, puzzles, cooking, sewing, beading, crafts, and music. She will be remembered for her insight, her generous heart, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for and valued.

She is survived by her daughter Carol (Gary) Wellong; son Patrick Cole; granddaughter Emily Cole; and twin sister Jeri Taylor.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Spirit Mountain Hospice, St. Vincent's Hospital, and the Cody Cancer Center for their loving care in Judi's final weeks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Park County Animal Shelter in Judi's memory. There will be no service as per Judi's request.
