Judith Cranz Obituary
Judith H. Cranz, 80, of Zanesville, died at 12:01 A.M. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at The Oaks at Bethesda, Zanesville. She was born September 27, 1943, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Dayton S. and Margaret (Fleming) Hale. Judith's life work was within the Church, she was a dedicated member for fifty years and employed as secretary for thirty- eight years, at Grace United Methodist Church. Judy was a strong, stable presence among her family and friends. She never called attention to herself but was a cheerleader for those around her. She will be missed for her servant attitude and faithfulness to her family, friends, Zanesville Community, God and the Church.
She is survived by her children, a son, Jonathan (Jessica) Cranz; a daughter, Emily Cranz; three grandchildren, Owen Cranz, Ella and Maeve Cranz-Richards; two sisters, Peg Stowers and Sally Hale.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Leroy A. Cranz who went to be with the Lord February 22, 2021.
Friends and family may call from 10:30 A.M. until time of Memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Grace United Methodist Church, Zanesville with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. An Inurnment will take place at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 516 Shinnick Street, Zanesville.
