Judith Dyas Obituary

Forever in our hearts and remembered always with love, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. Born Judith (Judy) Gretchen Paulson, on a Wisconsin Farm, the eldest of ten children. Parents, Herbert & Esther Paulson, both taking her hand now along with her husband Charles (Chuck) Dyas and deceased brothers Jerry, John, Jim, Jeff & her sister Sue. Her surviving four siblings are Jeanne, Joel, Larry, and Wendell along with their beautiful families.

Judy and Charles built a blended family including Andy and his wife, Paola and two grandchildren, Christian and Nicolas, Scott and his wife Rebecca, Jeff and his wife Claudia, Greta and her husband Scott and their children, Teresa, Haley and Daniel, Kimberly, Wendee and two grandchildren, William & Weslee. Weslee, married to Isa, and her great granddaughter, Romy.

We all share great memories with Judy, nicknamed "Sam" by friends, that will be treasured always. She enjoyed hiking the trails of the Sierras with some of those friends taking along a picnic lunch. She enjoyed camping and car shows with her husband. Judy's passion for baking was legendary, and her apple pie was so delicious it took a first place in a local competition. She was always there to help, volunteering at their church. Her generosity and dedication were evident in her service to her community. Above all, she adored her family and cherished every moment spent together. Alzheimer disease changed the quality of her life over the last 12 years slowly decreasing her beautiful joy. Judy will been deeply missed, and her absence now leaves a space in our hearts. May we fill it with peace knowing that she is surrounded by those who love her, as we do. We like to believe she is dancing up in heaven. Let us carry her spirit with us always, and her memory will forever be a blessing.

We will gather to celebrate those memories and invite friends & family.

Sunday, August 24th, 1 p.m., Cambria California Cemetery. Contact Kim @ 831-601-8605 if you would like more details.

I was thinking about a New Year´s Day many years ago when my mom took Judy, my brother and I to the Rose Parade.I just looked up her name and found this, her obituary. I am so sorry!
Another memory was as a four year old, I reluctantly gave my crib to Judy. Herbie,Esther and Evelyn were living in an apartment in Wausau. So many memories both in Wausau and California.

I am so sorry to read that your mom passed away, Kim. She was always so welcoming and kind to us as teens when visiting you.
I wish you and your extended family much comfort and peace.

What a huge loss for our family! Aunt Judy always had a smile on her face, she radiated joy and compassion! Many a night were spent at her table listening to stories, making caramel apples, laughing and knowing she heard every word I shared. Their home in Bishop was always a highlight as our family travelled from Idaho to California, even extending her gracious hospitality when our VW bug broke down on the 4th of July in Independence CA they came to our rescue our time in Cambria was filled with long walks and her in the kitchen making something truly yummy.

She made everyone she met feel so special. Her grace and charm and fashion sense always inspired me even today. I´m so grateful for the time we had with her and Uncle Charlie. She will never be forgotten. Hugs big hugs
