Judith Emig Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Sep. 1, 2023.
Judith A. Emig, affectionately known as "Judy," passed away on Wednesday August 30, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born on August 29, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Norman and Martha Rosewarne. She married George "Skip" Emig on January 29, 1966, and together, they shared a life filled with love, adventure, and community service. Judy was a devoted wife to George C. Emig Jr., aka "Skip," and a loving mother to her two children. Judy and Skip were partners in all aspects of life, including their shared passion for swimming. Skip's love for the sport was matched by Judy's dedication. They spent countless years on the pool deck, with Skip serving as a starter/referee and pool parent, and Judy by his side, supporting and contributing to the swimming community. Judy's commitment to swimming was just one reflection of her vibrant spirit and willingness to give back. Judy and Skip's legacy continues through their children, son George "Kip" C. Emig III and his wife Julie Ann, daughter Leanne Emig and her late husband Jeffrey Morgan, as well as their beloved grandchildren Grace, Luke, and Shelby and her brother Norman Rosewarne. Judy's memory will be held dear by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Judy was a dedicated individual, having served as Hatboro, PA's Tax Collector for an impressive 35 years before her retirement in 2019. She was also recognized as the Treasurer of the Pennsylvania State Tax Collectors Association. Her commitment to her community was truly remarkable, and her contributions left a lasting impact.
She cherished her 75th birthday at her Happy Place in Brigantine, NJ, a place that held special memories for both her, Skip and her children. Their appreciation for family, nature, and joyful moments was evident in the memories they created.
For those wishing to honor Judy's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatboro Horsham Aquatic Association C/O Ben Wilson, Treasurer, at 307 Cottage Ave, Horsham, PA 19044.
In celebrating the life of Judith A. Emig, we remember her kindness, dedication, and the love she and Skip shared with their family and community. Their spirits will continue to inspire those whose lives they touched.
