Carolyn J. Emig

Born 1938 in Portsmouth and raised in Ohio, Carolyn J Emig sadly passed on November 14,2025. She was the daughter of Georgia and John R Thompson, (both deceased). She was a loving wife to Alfred Emig (deceased). She is survived by brother John (Patricia) Thompson whom she loved and adored. She was a loving mother to son Lawrence (Brenda) Wilson, daughter Karen (Jim) Quinn, daughter Donna (Jamie) Salzman, daughter Kelly (Tim) Edmiston, son David Emig (deceased). Also survived by seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Carolyn’s passions included reading, cross stitching, spending time playing cards with her family. She reflected kindness and love with a smile that would light up a room. You will be forever missed and always loved.

I am at peace and finally free.

Like the Eagles in the sky,

I am soaring, so please don’t cry.

I know you love me, I love you too,

But my time was over, was finally through.

I have ascended to a better place,

Which is not confined by time or space.

To those that loved me, I did not fall;

Instead, I succumbed to a higher call.

Do not mourn me, I am with you still,

I’ll always be with you, from dawn… until.
