Judith Harris Fiehrer was a resident of Bowie, MD for 49 years. She was born December 30, 1940 in Danville, VA. She passed away peacefully in her home under the care of her loving husband of 49 years, Frederick R. Fiehrer on July 8th, 2024. Preceded in death by her beloved parents Norman and Kathryn Harris of Danville, VA. She is survived by her devoted brother, Dr. Norman Lee Harris (Dana) of Danville, VA.
Judy was a devoted and loving mother to Sheila M. Wersick (Bob); Lisa Maloney (Michael); William David Peay (Shana); and Matthew Raymond Fiehrer (Ashley). Loving and cherished grandmother to Courtney and Jacob Wersick; Jessie Maloney; Zachary and Hailey Peay. She was very proud of her family and loved holidays and family get-togethers. Any chance to spend with her family was important to her.
Judy was a FISH (Friendly Instant Sympathetic Help) volunteer for over 15 years. The 30-year old organization provides free rides for Bowie residents, mostly seniors.
She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, where her Going Home Service will be held on July 19th, 2024 at 11:00am. She loved her church, but above all, she loved the Lord. Pastor Jamie Miller will officiate the service.
A private burial will take place at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
