Obituary
Judith Lee Gesler was welcomed into Heaven after battling a long illness on February 22, 2023 at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, FL at the age of 79. Judith who went by "Judy" was surrounded by her loving family.
Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Elsie Dean of Knox, PA and spouse Michael Gesler, of Las Vegas, NV, Judy is survived by her children Tamara (Tami) and Kristina (Kris); her step-children, Dana, Lisa and David; her siblings, Sharon, John, and Linda; 9 grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
Judy married into Air Force life where she traveled extensively. Civilian life continued to bring many adventures. Judy spent most of her life living in Las Vegas, NV.
Throughout her life she worked as a legal secretary before retiring and becoming a full-time grandmother, which was her life's joy. She was a volunteer at her grandsons' schools and proud supporter of their extracurricular activities. She also loved many pets throughout her life, most recently her precious dog, Sarah.
Over the past 3 years Judy spent much of her time traveling between Nevada, California, Texas and Florida enjoying her family and seeing the countryside. She especially loved going to the ocean in California. During those trips many fun-filled days were spent playing Dominoes, Uno and Yahtzee. 0n occasion Judy was teased extensively for cheating which made playing together all the more enjoyable. Of course the hit of a Florida game night would be indulging in chocolate cake and cherry ice cream sharing fond memories with John and Dick Levis. A loyal Steelers fan she loved the excitement of professional football and tennis as well as the delight of a good book or movie.
A child of God, Judy was a blessing to all who knew her. We are comforted knowing we will see her again in Heaven.
Luke 23:43
And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
A celebration of life is scheduled the week of March 20, 2023 at Doheney State Park, Dana Point, California. Please contact Tami or Kris for further information. Florida services are TBD.
