Nancy Carol Gesler, 73, passed away at 10:47 a.m. on February 13, 2026, at Ross Heart Hospital.
Nancy was born on March 22, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert Eugene and Carol Winifred (Lowery) Lee.
Nancy worked 40 years for H&R Block. She was an avid bowler for many years and held an amateur radio operator license. Nancy played the French Horn her whole life. She was a member of the Hallelujah Saints Band and The Lima Area Concert Band. She also served on the board. Nancy was very active with her community and family, she loved to travel, visiting almost all 50 states. She was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist in Elida.
She is survived by her children, Janelle (Drew) Gesler-Harner and Ginger (Tom Stayrook) Gesler; former husband of 48 years, Rodney Gesler; grandchildren, Hayden McKee and Kyzer Harner; a sister, Linda (Gene) Craft; companion, Chuck Oatman; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and cats, Buddy and Sissy.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Gene Lee and Rodney Lee.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Paul Scannell will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lima Area Concert Band.
