Peggy June Becker

Peggy June Harruff Becker, 96, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Lima Convalescent Home.

Peggy was born on April 11, 1929, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Alice May (Rish) Clay. On April 11, 1948, Peggy married her first husband, Vernon W. Harruff who passed away on April 2, 2001. On September 14, 2002, she then married Ray D. “Diz” Becker who has also preceded her in death on August 31, 2019.

Peggy was an Interior Designer. She was a former member of Shawnee United Methodist Church and a current member of The Church of Allentown. She enjoyed and was active in many church activities. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and enjoyed square dancing. Peggy was also an avid reader and she loved to sing.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn Jill Bell, Sharon (Mike) England, and Julie (Dennis) Lee; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her both husbands and her parents, as well as her son-in-law, John Bell; and a sister, Anne Buckingham.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at The Church of Allentown, Elida, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Rev. Neal Whitney will officiate.
