Ryan M Gesler

Ryan Matthew Gesler of Rancho Mirage, California tragically passed away on the 1st of March,
2023, three days shy of his 48th birthday. Born to Michael & Carol Gesler on March 4, 1975 in
Chicago, Illinois, Ryan spent his growing up years in Minnesota, along with his younger brothers
Garrett & Brendon. At the age of 25, he moved to California in pursuit of sunshine, warm
weather and business opportunities.
Technology was Ryan's passion. He was fascinated by electronics at an early age especially
phones and lights. When he persuaded the family to purchase an Apple IIe in the mid-1980s,
he began to teach himself to code using books, magazines and reverse engineering. Always
the entrepreneur, Ryan co-founded several innovative businesses, creating the IT infrastructure
and designing the software platforms.
Ryan was sweet, kind, gentle and generous. He loved his role of "Uncle Ryan" to his six nieces
and nephews. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Michael & Carol Gesler of South Haven, MN; brothers Garrett
(Marguerita) Gesler of Chino Valley, AZ and Brendon (Marieke) Gesler of North Ogden, UT;
nieces and nephews Naomi, William, Mia, Henry, Joseph & Evangeline; numerous aunts, uncles
and cousins; business partner & best friend, William Rodriguez of Rancho Mirage.
Preceded in death by grandparents George & Gladys Gesler and H.E. (Bill) & Evelyn Sherman.
Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date in both California & Minnesota.
