Judith Ann Heckman-Moore, age 76 of Centerville, Washington County, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Born on February 15th, 1948, in McKeesport, PA to Rudolph and Catherine (Novosel) Gregory; raised in West Mifflin, PA alongside her surviving sister Catherine (Rege) Bazylak.
Judy was a RN, BSN Oncology nurse at McKeesport Hospital and Jefferson Hospital; and spent time as a supervisor at Kane Hospital. She was an active member of the community and served on the Board of Directors of the Center In The Woods in California, PA. She had an affinity for traveling, within the country and around the world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Richard Heckman and Emerson Lee Moore, III and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Klingensmith.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Mike) Gabauer; step-daughter Faith (Dennis) Ebbs; four grandchildren, Rachael Gabauer, Alexis Gabauer, Darragh (Frederick Desmond) Ebbs and Vince Ebbs; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Theodore Desmond; four sisters-in-law, Dina (Tim) Lang, Renatta (the late Al Lillyrose) Benedetti, Michele (Terry) Hagerty, and Becky (Chester) Fenlock; a brother in law Larry (Sue) Moore; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
There will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life Service for Judy will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Center In The Woods in California, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Center In The Woods, Inc. 130 Woodland Court Brownsville, PA 15417 (724-938-3554).
