Judith Marie "Judy" Helems

Judith Marie Helems, born December 14, 1942, in Northampton, Massachusetts to Robert and Edith Larochelle, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was 82 years old.

Judy, as she was lovingly known, was predeceased by her brothers William, Robert, and Raymond LaRochelle, and her sister Mildred Lemire. She is survived by her sister Debbie Kolibabek.

Judy was a devoted mother to her sons, James Helems Jr. (wife Deresa) and Todd Helems, who shares his life with Amy Biela, Judy's beloved "bonus daughter." Her memory lives on through her cherished grandchildren-Christine Helems, Mike Helems, Allison Helems, David Helems and Lily Godbout-who brought her endless joy and pride.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and who will carry her spirit forward.

Judy had a gentle heart, a resilient spirit, and a special fondness for cardinals, which she often said reminded her of those watching over from above. She was loved deeply and will be missed beyond measure.

All are welcome to attend Judy's service on May 13th at 3:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
