She was a graduate of Shortridge High School in the class of 1954. She then and graduated from the IBM School of Endicott, New York. She went on to work at the Army Finance Center in Indianapolis from 1955-1956. After the finance center, she worked at the Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis from1956-1958. After marrying Jan in 1958, then moving to Purdue University and starting a family, she would become a stay-at-home mother.

She loved raising (3) beautiful boys and attending all their different sporting events. While raising her sons, her and Jan got involved in the foreign exchange student program and hosted Pete Kelo (Finland) and Fitz Barrientos (Peru). Judy loved the Lord and attended Southport Christian Heights Church. At the church she helped with Keenagers and the Easter Pageant. She also was part of the Sisters in Song that visited assisted living facilities to sing Christmas songs for everyone. She was also involved in Boy Scouts and Webelos for many years, while Jan was the Scout Master of Troop 96. Other things she was involved in were Perry Homemakers (40 years), Eagle in Phyllis Schlafly's Eagles Forum Group, Ladies Only Water Aerobics, and the Southport Lions Club (25 years), where she loved being involved with the Lions Leader Dog program in Rochester, MI.

Her hobbies included traveling with Jan to various destinations in and out of the US to places such as Hilton Head, SC, Colorado, DC, Florida, Finland, Sweden, and Russia. She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts, completing puzzles, playing left right center and taking everyone's quarters, helping others, listening to Elvis, Garth Brooks and Neil Diamond music. She also was one of Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band biggest fans. Her family was always her main love, she always enjoyed spending time with all of them. She also loved her precious little dog Brookz. She also enjoyed spending time with all her friends and neighbors.

She said many times lately, "I raised 3 wonderful sons, lived a great life and if I had to do it over again; I wouldn't change a thing. I loved my 3 J's (her sons) and her 3 D's (her daughter-in-laws).
