Ella Lyle Foist, affectionately known as Lyle, passed away on September 2, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1928, in Lapeer, Michigan. She was the daughter of Mary Jarrett Dunn and Mr. Dunn whose first name is not available. When she was about nine years old, Lyle and her family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she would spend much of her life.
Lyle graduated from Shortridge High School in 1946. After finishing school, she dedicated many years to her career at Citizens Gas and Coke Utility, where she worked for 23 years until her retirement in 1993.
Lyle’s family was very important to her. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle Renaud, who passed away in 2013. She is survived by her son, Michael W. Hancock, who lives in Colorado. Lyle also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Trace M. Renaud and Brooke H. Renaud, both residing in Rhode Island.
She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
