Violet Foist Obituary
She was born in Somerset, KY on July 7, 1944. Over the years she lived in Georgia, Germany, New York, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana, Texas, and of course, Kentucky, before her last adventure in South Carolina.
She is survived by 2 children: daughter Tracy Lynne Pizarro (Gardiner) of Louisville, KY, and her son and daughter-in-law, William Arthur Potts and Kimberly Ann McCarthy of Beaufort, SC, a sister, Voe Frances Morris of Carrollton, MO, and a brother, David Ray Hines of Columbus, IN, 16 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Delmar and Iva Dell Hines (Branscum), husband, Robert Houston Foist, 2 daughters: Tammy Lee Beiner (Potts), and Teresa Lorraine D'Avino (Gardiner), sister Vera Joyce Hines, and 4 brothers: Richard Franklin Hines, John William Hines, Robert Ganes Hines, and Roy Delmar Hines.
She will be reunited with her husband at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road, Madison, IN 47250 on May 15, 2026 at 2 pm. We invite and welcome all who would like to attend.
