Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at her home. At the age of 84 years.
The daughter of the late Terry F. Manning and Marjorie Mae (Stolt) Manning Theer (Arthur Theer), Judy was born on October 6, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan. Judy married Freeman “Owen” Jesse on March 9, 1957. Owen preceded her in death on February 14, 2016. Judy had a passion for studying genealogy ever since the 1970s. Her book, “I Remember Mama,” stands as a loving tribute to her own mother, capturing moments of love and strength. Judy found solace and joy in maintaining her yard, and cultivating gardens blooming with vibrant flowers. The beauty she nurtures in her gardens was a reflection of the beauty she brought in the lives of those around her. Judy considered herself a lucky lady. To her family, she was a devoted mother and caretaker known for her patience and grace in looking after lively children. Above all, Judy cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Steve (Kim) Jesse, Scott (Robin) Jesse; grandchildren, Camber, Rebecca, Mitchell, Stevi Jo, Emma; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides her husband and her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her son, Randall Allen “Randy” Jesse, and her sister, Sharon Morrison.
Honoring Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
