Judith Lee Johnson Grady
1936-2025
"Her life was a song filled with love, laughter, and gentle melodies that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her."
Judith Lee Johnson Grady, age 89, of Ironton, Ohio, passed peacefully away on December 19, 2025.
Judith was born in the summer of 1936 on August 5th. She was the blessing of the late Frank R. and Susan Boggs Johnson. She was a proud 1954 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School. She was quiet the peppy cheerleader back in those days. Judith retired in 2000 from Cardinal Cleaners.
Judith had a fun-loving spirit, and she loved to joke around. She could tell the best joke until it came to the punch line. Her delivery was never quite right. She loved music and rather enjoyed how the beat and the melody made her dance. She would sway and sing and live life the fullest. Her house was always full of the smell of baked goods, and her homemade candy was well known and much sought after. Judith enjoyed keeping her home full of love and warmth. She was a great mother and the kind of person that was so easy to talk to. You could tell Judith anything and if it was confidence, she would hold tight to your secrets. It was her trustworthiness and love that made her feel like a mother to so many. She was always there to listen and give that special advice that only a mother could. One of her most endearing qualities was that she was always ready to pose for a photo. She had a smile that would light up the room. It was that big smile that stretched across her face that made her notorious for having her eyes shut in photos.
As we dance on though the years we will always remember Judith, for her love, her sincerity she left behind.
Judith leaves behind one daughter Linda Harmon and her husband Joel "Jody" of Ironton, Ohio, three precious grandchildren; Brandon Penny, Michael Stone, and Alex (Caroline) Stone, one darling great-grandchild Lilliana, and one brother Robert "Bob" Johnson, and her beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her late parents, Judith is enjoying a Heavenly reunion with her late husband, Edward Grady, three beloved children, David Pack, Kellie Stone, and Mitch Pack, and two sisters Delores Hinkley, and Evelyn Cox.
A memorial service to honor the life of Judith will be held at a later date.
