Judith Arlene Keppel, 85, of Abilene, TX passed away on Monday, November 17,2025, in Abilene.
Judith was born on November 13, 1940, in McKees Rocks, PA to the late Ulrich Hufnagel and Anna Mae Permenter Hufnagel. Judith married the love of her life, Robert James Keppel on Aug 12, 1961, in McKees Rocks, PA. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. She loved to travel around the world with her husband, who served in the Air Force. In the 1970s, she became the top Tupperware sales representative of the South Pacific region when they were stationed in Guam. She worked for Communities of Abilene Credit Union starting out as a teller and working her way up to being the CEO for about 35 years.
Judith was known for her outgoing personality, always so caring and loving to all her family and friends. In the 70s, her and her husband loved to square dance, later developing a shared passion for ballroom dancing. Robert and Judith were both avid golfers; they were long-term members of the Abilene Country club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; her brother, Ralph; her sister, Donna; her brother, Jimmy. Judith is survived by her children, Kirk Keppel (Kimberly) and Scott Keppel (Amy).
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, 11:30AM - 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
