Judith Diane Keen Keyes, age 73, of Doylestown, Ohio, passed away on January 10, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 5, 1951, to Mary Jarvis and Clyde Keen.
Judi and her husband, Hank, had a great love story and were married for 55 years. She will be forever a cherished mom to her three favorite daughters: Kristy (Robert) Knupp, Kelly (Brian) Linkowski, and Jennifer Keyes. She also held dear her unofficially adopted son from Mexico who was a foreign exchange student in 1988-1989, Jose Eligio Garza, and his family. Judi adored her grandchildren: Liam (Ana) Linkowski, Jesse (Anya) Ruther, Troy Linkowski, Cassidy Ruther, and Elizabeth Knupp. Even more, she adored her two great-granddaughters, Lailah and Gwenyth, and Judi was thrilled to learn there was one more great granddaughter on the way! She was a caring sister to Beverly (Dave) Bailey and Debbie Keen. She was always cheering on her numerous nieces and nephews. Judi was predeceased by her mother, Mary Jarvis; fathers, Clyde Keen and Noble Jarvis; and her sister, Janice Mitchell.
In her 73 years, Judi achieved much and touched many lives. She raised a loving family and nearly completed her bucket list, including snow skiing in Colorado, snowmobiling in Yellowstone, riding the motorcycle with Hank 7,000 miles out west for their 50th wedding anniversary which included Sturgis, Crazy Horse, and Pikes Peak; and attending The Kentucky Derby, just to name a few. The only thing left was that Alaskan cruise! Judi retired after 21 years of service as a Court Reporter at Summit County Juvenile Court in 2011 – don’t worry if you came through the court system, she NEVER shared anything with us!
More importantly, she loved her family fiercely. She loved her home that she and Hank built over twenty years ago. She was a truth teller, saying what needed said. She was a best friend to each of her daughters. We will miss her every minute and will carry her with us through all of life’s adventures ahead.
In lieu of flowers, Judi requested that you do something fun with your family – laugh and make memories.
Judi's legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that we will cherish forever.
