Judith Ann Knipple

1946 - 2024

Judith Ann Gardner Knipple, born on June 24, 1946, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at the age of 78. Judy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, known for her unwavering faith and devotion to her family.Judy was born at Watsonville Hospital and grew up in Watsonville, California. She attended Mintie White Elementary School, E.A. Hall Middle School, and graduated from Watsonville High School in 1963. During her school years, she was actively involved in Girl Scouts and showcased her musical talents by playing the accordion in Phil Marinovich's marching band, participating in town parades. In 1962, she was honored to be crowned the queen of the Apple Contest.

In 1973, Judy joined the U.S. Air Force, where she served until 1977. Her service included time stationed at Mather Air Force Base and in Germany, before returning to Lompoc Air Force Base. It was there that she met her husband, Kenneth Knipple, and they married on April 15, 1978. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Paul Edgar Gardner (1965), her son, Anthony (1975), and her mother, Rosalie Gardner (2004). She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Knipple; her daughter, Stacy Marie Knipple; her brother, Harvey Paul Gardner of Modesto; Sister Charmaine Patterson of Pittsburgh, Penn. and her cherished nieces and nephews: Paul Harvey Gardner, Mark Anthony Gardner, Montana Gardner, Mallory Gardner, Mason Gardner, and Marshall Gardner. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Emma Rose Berry, Noah James Berry, Evelyn Sadie Berry, and Elise Ann Berry of Okatie, South Carolina.

A private Pentecostal service will be held in her memory, officiated by Pastor Daniel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Saul's Funeral Home, Lowcountry Gardens Memorial Services, located at 90 Simmonsville Highway, Bluffton, South Carolina, 29910.
