Judith K. Lester, age 80, passed away at her home on September 25, 2025. She was born in Mescalero, New Mexico on September 4, 1945, the daughter of Melford Yuzos and Kathleen (Hosetosavit) Yuzos.
Judith is survived by her husband, Baldwin Lester; daughter, Clar Eyelash; son, Walter Wilson and wife Patty Wilson; grandchildren, Kawauney Beck (Jimmy Baca), Wilma Salas and husband Richard Salas Jr, Queena Wilson (Zack Skipper), and Kaceney Wilson (Keenan Kane); great grandchildren, Veronica Beck-Ruiz, Xavier Ruiz, Jason Wilson, Herwauney Wilson, Richard Salas III, Xyliana Salas, Kheldon Kane, and Keon Kane; brother, Kevin Yuzos; and sisters, Helen Yuzos, and Colleen Hubbard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Vernon Simmons, Melvin Yuzos Sr, and Melford A Yuzos; and her sisters, Rebecca Shosh, Karen Yuzos, Lorena Lester, and Sharon Yuzos.
The funeral procession will leave LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso at 3:00PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, and will travel to the Mescalero Reformed Church. The celebration of life and prayer service to honor Judith will begin at 4:00PM and will conclude at 7:00PM.
