Judith Ann Levant

Judith Ann Levant (Butts), 71, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. She was born in Independence, Kansas.
Judith lived a life full of love, strength, laughs and kindness. She will be remembered for her compassion, sense of humor, strength and unwavering dedication to her family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her loved ones, and she leaves behind countless memories that will forever be cherished.
Judith dedicated more than four decades of her life to her career, working for Hackensack Meridian Health for 42 years. She was admired by her colleagues for her hard work, commitment, and caring nature, and she touched many lives through her service.
She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Levant of Toms River, NJ, and Regan Levant Torre and her husband Jerry Torre of Jackson, NJ; and her beloved grandson (and hunny bunny), Vincent Torre. She is also survived by her siblings: Daniel Butts of Van Buren, Arkansas; Janet Rosenberger and her husband Warner Rosenberger of Bonney Lake, Washington; and Steven Butts of Grove, Oklahoma. In addition, she leaves behind extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her father, Reverend William Butts; her mother, Mary Belle Butts; and her brother, William Butts Jr.
Judith will be deeply missed, but her love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
