Judith "Judy" Lydon (Porter) passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 84 after a battle with breast cancer. Judith was born in Pittsburgh on August 27, 1939, raised in Ben Avon, raised her family in McKees Rocks, and eventually resided in Carnegie. A mother of 6, she is survived by her children William (the late Diane), Michael (Cathy), Gerald (Daphne), Kathleen, John (Linda), and James. She was also a grandmother to James, Joshua, Jessica, Jennifer, Jake, and Jordan, great-grandmother to Cameron, Dylan, and Aiden, grandmother-figure to Crystal, Dante, Marissa, Jessika, Emily and Holly, sister to Robert (Helen), and aunt to several. Judith dedicated many years of her life working with individuals with intellectual disabilities at Allegheny Valley School, Robinson Developmental Center, Mayview State Hospital. She enjoyed baking for her family, spending time with her pet cats, and going out to eat and watching Steelers games with friends.
Judith's life will be remembered in a private gathering with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judith's memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at komen.org. Arrangements entrusted to the Leo J. Henney Funeral Home, Carnegie. www.leohenneyfuneralhome.com
