Judith Marie "Judy" Magre

JUDITH "JUDY" MARIE MAGRE (12/28/1949-10/27/2025).
Judy Magre had a heart unlike most people. Her compassion and integrity showed through in every action she took. She accepted everyone as they were, and when she loved, it was always unconditional. When she walked into your life, she immediately made it better. Her attention to detail was unmatched, and she knew very well those little details often made life all the better. Fifty four years of marriage to her husband Steve was a stellar example of her unbridled dedication. As the mother of David, Daniel, and Jim, there was never a dull moment in the Magre house. Judy loved to brag about "My Three Sons." Granddaughter Moria and Nana Judy were kindred spirits and shared a very special, unbreakable bond. She was a devoted teacher for nearly 50 years bringing love, laughter, and happiness to the students whose lives she touched over her long illustrious career. She was an exceptional person of faith and strongly believed in her community and worked toward making it better her whole life. Judy lived her truth, her faith, and her joy with gusto. She is leaving a void that will never be filled. Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: her husband Steve Magre, sons David Magre, Daniel Magre (Kelly Magre), Granddaughter Moria Magre (Victor Magre), Sisters Susan Means (Bob Means), Sarah Potter, brother Mike Simpson,and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to count. Judy was predeceased by her son Jim Magre, brother John Simpson, parents John and Petrina Simpson. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Catholic Charities of Louisville. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road.
