Joseph Feger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman Embry-Bosse Funeral Home - Louisville on Dec. 1, 2025.
Joe Feger, known by many as "Joey", devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Joe lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved.
A retiree of Audubon Hospital, Joe dedicated 32 years of service to the hospital community. His steady presence, strong work ethic, and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on colleagues and hospital staff. He was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. He also was active in his church; regularly volunteering to work fish fry's, church picnics and other events at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Joe proudly coached both of his sons in T-ball, baseball and basketball, serving as a mentor and leader to many youths over the years. His words of advice to his young players was to never shave before a game.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Joseph W. Feger, his mother Gladys Feger (Chesher), his brother Tony Feger, and sister-in-law, Belinda Willinger, with whom he now finds peaceful reunion.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia (Powers) Feger, who remained his steadfast partner and rock through every chapter of life. He is also lovingly remembered by his two sons: Craig (Shannon), and Cory (Stephanie).
Joe's greatest joy came from being "Papa Joe" to his five grandchildren-Kayli, Colin, Eli, Lyndi, and Luke-each of whom brought him immense pride, happiness, and joy. He was also blessed to have many nieces and nephews, who all dearly loved their "Uncle Joey."
He is survived by his brothers Donald Joseph (Elois), Gary (Judith), and Phillip Feger, as well as his sister, Rosalie (Steve) Keiran; sister-in-law, Debra Feger; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Joe's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be forever cherished by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the countless lives he touched throughout his years.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church 2931 Pindell Avenue with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Ratterman Embry Bosse Funeral Home 2723 Preston Hwy.
