SOUTHBURY - Judith Massicotte, 82, passed away on March 23, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Philip A.Massicotte for 33 years. Judith was born on September 21, 1941 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Charles and Barbara (Kunkel) Galiada. She was also predeceased by her brother Charles David Galiada. Judith graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School in 1959 and went on to earn an Associate degree from Post Junior College. Judith worked for many years at Manzi Insurance in Woodbury, Connecticut. Later she retired from River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. She was active in the Southbury Boy & Girl Scouts, a moderator for the Southbury polling station, and a communicant of Southbury Sacred Heart Church for 55 years. Judith is survived by four sons, Philip (Lyn) Massicotte of Jacksonville, Florida, Michael Massicotte of Weston, Massachusetts, Mark (Michelle) Massicotte of Watertown, and David (Kim) Massicotte of Mustang, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two daughters, Deborah( Bob) Major of Southbury and Dawn Ganio of Litchfield. Judith was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 27, 2024, at 10 am, St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 574 Main St, Watertown, followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Southbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judith's name can be made to The American Cancer Society by visiting donate.cancer.org.
