Judith A. Maxwell, age 72, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at her home.
Judith was born February 01, 1950 in Shelbyville, Illinois, a daughter of William and Lois J. (Ruff) LeCrone. She married the love of her life, James Stephen Maxwell on August 1, 1987 in Shelbyville, IL. Judy graduated Shelbyville High School in 1968, then worked in Springfield for the State of Illinois, while living in Pana, IL. She moved to Marion in 1980 working for Shawnee Express as a bookkeeper. She also worked as a Teacher's Aid for Marion Unit #2 School District. Judy loved her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading Daniel Steele books and spending time in her Jeep and Mustang. She was a member of First Christian Church on Shelbyville, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband James Stephen Maxwell of Marion, IL; one daughter, Kelly A. (Rev. Alex) Parks of Carterville, IL; four grandchildren, Luke J. Parks, Logan L. Parks, Shelby G. Parks, and Leonidas A. Parks; a brother, William "Bill" LeCrone of Effingham, IL and sister-in-law Debbie LeCrone of Effingham, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Lois J. LeCrone and two siblings, James LeCrone and Mary Hoskins.
Visitation will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Marion on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Services will be held at 3:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Rev. Alex Parks officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, IL on Monday April 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
