Judith Ann "Judi" Mentzer, 84, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late J.E Russel Markert and Dorothy Mae Markert-Cushman. Judi was the loving wife of Ronald Mentzer, who preceded her in death in 2023.
Judi dedicated her life to her work as a beautician, owning and operating Judi's Beauty Mart for over 60 years. She loved her job and formed many friendships over the years with her customers. Outside of her career she was a talented artist who enjoyed watercolor painting, she created many beautiful paintings and was a member of the Lititz Art Association. She loved music, dancing, antiquing and going to yard sales. Judi also loved planting flowers, collecting knick-knacks, and spending time at the beach as well as girlfriend vacations. Judi loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout their lives. They were highlight of her life. They certainly inherited her strong sense of family and artistic abilities. She was a spirted women who was well loved and loved well, a mother figure to many. Her fun and loving spirit will be carried on through her family.
A lifelong member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Lititz, Judi was active in her church community, including participating in the bell choir, organizing the St. Lukes Christmas Bazaar for many years and serving as a Sunday school teacher. She was also active in the community, participating in Halloween events as a judge and 4th of July parades.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Adams and her husband Neil, Abby Dodds and her husband Rob; her 4 grandchildren, Dylan (Jessica) Adams, Cole (Taylor) Adams, Adam (Lindsey) Dodds and Claire Dodds (Boyfriend Sam Miller); and her 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hallie, and Wyatt. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Markert, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack R. Markert.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and honor Judi's life on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11am at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 222 N. Broad St, Lititz, PA 17543. There will be visitation prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment will be in Old Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, one may give to the St. Lukes United Church of Christ Church in Lititz or Old Zion Church at 187 Reifsnyder Road, Lititz PA, 17543.
