Judith Anne Michener “Jude”, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on March 15, 2025. She was born October 20, 1940 to Charles and Blanche Bowman in Davenport, Iowa.
Jude grew up in Iowa and married Robert ‘Bob” Baer in West Branch, Iowa on June 20, 1963. They had 3 sons; Robert “Shorty” Baer, Ronald Baer, and Richard Baer. As a family they moved to Missouri and then Arkansas where she worked as a bookkeeper and was active in her church.
After Bob’s death in 2005, Jude married William “Bill” Michener on December 10, 2008. Jude and Bill lived in Red Oak, Texas and through their union, Jude gained 3 daughters: Renee’ Freeman, Ria Michener, and RaeLee Parrish.
Jude was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Robert Baer, and her sons, Robert and Ronald as well as her grandson Robby Baer.
She is survived by her husband Bill; son Richard; daughters Renee’, Ria, and RaeLee. Her siblings: MaryLou Brendel and Bruce Hoaglin; Pat Bickford and her husband Norman; Howe Bowman and his wife Janie; Herb Bowman and his wife Linda. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, in addition to great-great-nieces and -nephews whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with.
A visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Hwy 287 Bus., Waxahachie, TX 75165.
