Judith Ann Moncrief

TALLMADGE/MACEDONIA - Judith Ann Moncrief, (Cromley) 90, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
She was born on March 21, 1934, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Born to Russell and Jane (Holwerda) Cromley and raised in Akron, Judy was a nurse at Akron City Hospital (Summa) for many years, loving her work with moms and babies. Judy and her husband of 67 years, Ron, were faithful members of the Chapel in Akron for over 60 years, enjoying their involvement in the choir and their Sunday School class.
Judy and Ron were lifelong proponents of Christian school education, putting their three children through Chapel Hill Christian School and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, and were very involved in both, especially CVCA, for most of their lives.
Judy loved the Lord and her family and friends. She was a leader and organizer, helping serve the needs of others and the schools they were a part of. She touched the lives of many in her lifetime and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and commitment.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald A., sons, Dale (Terri) of Akron, Paul (Michele) of Hudson, and daughter, Elizabeth (Larry) (Moncrief) Shetler of Twinsburg; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Bisconti, Taylor and Mackenzie Moncrief, Adrienne and Alexis Moncrief, and Savannah and Ben Shetler, and three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Edie, and Bridget Moncrief, (children of Taylor).
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The funeral service will be held in Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron 44304, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ron & Judy Moncrief Scholarship Fund at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, cvcaroyals.org
