Judith Christine Montagna

Judith Christine Montagna, 68, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was one of eight children born to the late Salvatore "Sam" Montagna and Wilma June Shelton.
Judith's journey through life included various roles; she worked as a hairdresser and at the family bar, and spent time in factory work before a devastating car accident shifted her path. Despite life's challenges, she dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving environment. She was treasured for her loyalty, reliability, and the fierce love she had for her family. Judith was a woman of great character-outspoken and full of life, she approached each day with a fiery determination that inspired those around her. Judith was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
Judith moved to South Carolina to be closer to her daughter, Laura.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her two loving children, Laura Clark and Wesley Minteer; eight adoring grandchildren, Anthony Sullivan, Samarra and Joseph Clark; Garri, Lillianna, Lexi, Skylar, and Cassie Minteer; siblings, Samuel (Rhonda) Montagna, Theresa (David) Gawel, Marygail Garneau, and Bridgette (Billy) Witt.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by siblings, Dianna Howard, Timothy and Elaine Montagna.
Services to celebrate Judith will be held in New York in the springtime.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Upstate Community Hospice House, located at 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC 29356.
